Crackle

A singular being, Crackle is a bolt of lightning given sentience after hiting a monk meditating atop the mountain. In fact, it believes it is that very monk reincarbated from a smoldering husk instead of the force which killed it. Crackle takes on a humanoid shape, chaning its lighting to appear to have skin and clothing. However, ripples of electricity constantly wiggle along its form. Often times its hair, clothing, and arms will clip through one another for Crackle is an imperfect copy. Crackle travels about, driven by a strong sense of law if not justice. It has a hard time empathizing with other points of view than the one it adopted and flies into a rage when pressed on its true nature. Immol Infurnace

Born at the death of the first star, the Immol strain of elementals are a strange and hateful sort. They seek to consume as they no longer create, to take life as they no longer give it. Still, there are those mortals who come to worship these entities and call them forth to the material plane. The Immol manifests as a four-sided fractal shape of flame roughly the size of a human being. Two of the points form flaming pincers, though it can shrink one set to grow another depending on the vector of attack. Off center sits a black space that could be considered a mouth for this is where the Immol speaks and spits flame from. When an Immol dies, it explodes in consuming fire that if extinguishes enough life, restores the malignant elemental. This bleak, hulking elemental burns just as bright as its lesser brethren and displays twice as many fractals as a normal immol. However, strange black spots wash across its surface forming fleeting curses in Ignan. When stirred, these spots congr...

Immol Coalfather

When an Immol dies, it explodes in consuming fire that if extinguishes enough life, restores the malignant elemental. An Immol comprised of a seven-sided fractal, the coalfather also sports a second mouth. This one manifests in the corner where two main fractals meet, though it can be reabsorbed and appear in another corner as needed. This mouth is incapable of...

Immom Wildpyre

Off center sits a black space that could be considered a mouth for this is where the Immol speaks and spits flame from. When an Immol dies, it explodes in consuming fire that if extinguishes enough life, restores the malignant elemental. Comprised of six fractals, the wildpyre is seen as peculiar by its kin. Sure, it wants to burn away life for the insult of existing but it also strives to saturate said life in pretty light before laying waste. To that end, it turns all failed I...

Graven

This circular vessel is embossed with a twisted face full of hatred and hunger. From this visage sun rays are scrolled across the surface and its mouth has an o-shape from which flame occasionally erupts. The iron ball rolls wherever it moves. It serves as an egg of sorts for a summoned Immol as they gather heat from the material plan. Once the Graven grows hot enough, the Immol bursts free. The Star-Crossed

As an entity of pure light and radiation, it is hard to fathom exactly what the star-crossed wants. It is also hard to predict what it will do in any given circumstance because it perceives and reacts to stimuli differently than any flesh and bone creature would. However, most suspect is trying to either atone for, or fulfill the lives of a pair of lovers it accidentally obliterated when it arrived on this sphere. The couple, an elven male and human female, went out to watch falling stars not knowing one would fall on them in turn. The elemental can take the shape of either creature it reduced to atoms and in turn takes on quirks they may have had in life but only in a pantomime fashion. When threatened, or when it believes it is threatened rather, the star-crossed reverts back into its natural form of unidentifiable colors and drives off attackers with potent energy blasts and searing touches. If it takes too much damage, it lashes out with alien frequencies that temporarily twist th...

Analeptician Follyfinder

Analepcticians were supposed to be the cure, not the disease. Tailored by someone part snake oil salesman, part alchemist, and zero-percent morals, the first doses of the distilled crystals they found on a distant frontier provided immediate mental and physical relief. It turned out this wasn't because it was a medicine. Oh no. The crystal is a non-organic ‘fungus’ that eventually takes over its host while budding cysts full of spores. Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. As the weakest of its kin, the follyfinder most resembles the humanoid it birthed from. That is not to say that lurking horror isn't hideous. Crystal cysts cover its arms and chest, with the rotting remnants of its clothes and skin clinging like fabric caught on barbwire. Its face is forever fixed in a crooked, open smile with its wide eyes and teeth...

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. Many pray that the woeweaver represents the ultimate analeptician variation for it is too disquieting to think of a worse version of these foul elementals. The woewever exists for one purpose, to share misery. The terror resembles jellyfish, spider, and elemental all at once with a ballon of a tormented face at the top, and a clutch of eight clear cry...

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. Mouths. That's the first thing one notices about all the aphasiaemiter. The Mouths. Dozens of mouths glide along the surface of its crystal core like a colony of lazy slugs; lips, teeth, and tongue. All of them are stolen from the elemental's victims save one stretched wide atop its head in a perpetual silent scream. The aphasiamiter's bo...

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. A column of veiny crystals at its spiraling core, the egowracker still sparks fleshy arms and legs. The former appendages glide along the twisted spirals along a long network of spider-webbed sinew, each of the three limbs ending in scything claws of thin crystal. It only sports two legs that attach to a fleshly nodule atop the core rests. While the e...

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. Slim and gaunt, the idhunter still resembles a humanoid in some respects. It has a head, arms, and legs. The arms and legs, though are spread out thanks to large pockets of blood-streaked crystal at each join. The head resembles a cracked geode with a still-living brain nestled within the bowl. This brain languidly pulses, though the clawed beast...

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. Often moving on all fours, the mindbreaker blends humanoid and reptile thanks to a blend of crystal and flesh. The crystalline growths run along its spine like scary spikes, the blood veins within the rock pulsating at pysche-disrupting intervals. Analeptician Angstmonger

Depending on the arrangement of veiny crystalline growths, an analeptician projects different manners of psychic resonance. Their goal is always the same, to spread the infection and destruction. The crystalline fiend’s back is covered with a bumper crop of veiny cysts, its fingers converted into clear knives as sharp as fractured obsidian. It's the angstmonger’s face, however, that is the most harrowing. The crystal growths there form an inward spiral which draws the gaze to a meaty abyss that appears to have no end. It is into this psyc...

Maestoso

The elemental wears a golden mask, angelic in its visage with a silver crown floating just above. Its robes befit an actor playing royalty in the finest theaters; a deep, royal purple trimmed with golden fur. The body within is made up of hundreds of gem-like motes of sound sparkling in the light, though its arms end in long skewers tipped with crooked digits. Arrogance Incarnate. Second in self-importance only to Phantasmagoria itself, the maestoso is born from blustering speeches and fiery orations. A fragment of the demagogue which spoke it in existence dwells within the elemental along with an uncanny spark of intelligence for its kind. The maestoso cannot stand for anything upstaging it and sees every flesh-and-blood creature well beneath its station. While Phantasmagoria finds these particular sound elementals tiring, it often puts them in charge of ongoing schemes for a time so it does not have to micromanage every little thing. Maestoso Medium element...

Forte

Enrobed in bright silks, the forte strikes a shape similar to a dervish dancer, save the spaces between the fabric containing little more than a deep-violet murk. It wears a lacquered mask bearing a bemused expression which is framed by an arrangement of ever-swirling scarves that give an impression of a head. The elemental's hands further betray its alien nature, as they are fingerless balls forever vibrating with barely controlled sound. Riot Rondo. Phantasmagoria draws these elementals from cries of incoherent rage and mob justice. The resulting forte is a loud creature, both in volume and self-expression. But this is not a harmless artistic spirit. Instead, it strives to create dancing tunes using the pained shouts of others as it beats them to death. The arch elemental values fortes not only for their malicious ability, but also their loud natures can break magical silences which can be deadly to its kin. Grave

Tall and whispy, the grave is little more than a grey distortion wearing a brocaded buff coat. What resembles a head supports a wide-brimmed hat bearing handbones where others might stick a jaunty feather. Jutting out from the hem are a pair of steel-shod boots straapped into place with scarves torn from funeral shrouds. Living Dirge. Forges from the quiet sobs of the greiving, the grave is a somber elemental which feeds on the fear of death, and the suffering just before the end. They serve as shock troops for Phantasmagoria deployed to terrorize and grind down foes which have come to concern the grand elemental. The song a grave produces reduces its victims to a crawl, if it doesn't stop their hearts altogether. Allegro

As the allegro is always in motion, it is hard to pin down its features. The billowing, bright clothes it wears are soiled with innumerable blood splatters from previous victims and hang on a scarecrow-frame of glowing crimson. The creature wears a bauta mask, though the ties of the accessory flutter off the sides of its head instead of being bound in the back. Its legs taper off into faded points. The exposed bones of its forearms resemble violin bows, save the string is made for slashing instead of playing. Fine gloves hover in the correct place, despite a break where a wrist should be. Hyper-Ventilators. Born from the panicked breath of a humanoid in the throes of frightened mania, the allegro has a hard time standing still. It wants nothing more than to bring forth such noises again and honestly Phantasmagoria has a hard time keeping those in its employ under control. Sometimes the fiendish note aims an allegro at a specific target, but it just as often lets them loose to ‘hav...

Morendo

Wrapped in an opera cloak and topped with a wide-brimmed hat, the moredno appears to be a humanoid’s shadow with hungry, sparkling eyes. Its fingers are twice-as-long as they should be, ending in sharp knife-like fingers. Whenever the creature moves, a mournful sigh echoed from within its depths. Death Addicts. Sculpted from a humanoid’s last gasp, the morendo seeks to relive those final moments. As a thunder elemental, it cannot experience life in a meaningful way. Phantasmagoria exploits this desire to both keep these minion in line and motivate them to murder its opponents. Thus, the morendo slices the throats it is ordered to, suckling on that final sound before silently exiting the stage.
