Caltrop Mimic Swarm

A collection of stunted polyps, the caltrop mimic swarm struggled to bring prey down. That was, until, it ran across a collection of caltrops spread on the ground and more importantly the adventurer hobbled by it. They quickly discovered that the meal couldn't hobble away fast enough and proved easy to devour. So, they chose to imitate the little spike. While they remained stunted, the collection bred and spread. Now, these swarms are valued by devious (and foolhardy) footpads who use them to great effect... as long as they don't get eaten. The Wickman

The Wickman comes with fiery wrath, A ghostly figure on his deadly path. His form is charred with burning flames, And in his wake, he leaves only hungering remains. With every step he takes and seethes, His fiery touch burns like molten seas. And in the flames, his howls doth sound, A haunting echo all around. The Wickman's wrath is not to be ignored, For those who cross him will be deplored. His ghostly hand will strike you down, And turn your flesh to ash, from sole to crown. His laughter echoes through the night, As he sets his victims alight. Their screams are drowned in flames so bright, Their bones left blackened in his sight. Beware the Wickman's fiery wrath, Or suffer in the flames of his path. For once he sets his gaze on you, Your fate is sealed, your flesh burnt through. So if you see his fiery form, Run for your life, avoid the storm. For if he catches you alone, Your bones will be his fiery drone. -The Candlestick Maker'

Marquee Mimic

It's not always the evil and made who breed variations of mimics. The first marquee mimic was lovingly raised by a shopkeep sick of thieves stealing in the dead of night. Needless to say, he had some cleaning up to do on the sidewalk in the morning, but that was a price he was willing to pay. By the time the theives guild came knocking in numbers, the mimic had spawned. Crime statistics quickly plummeted. Soon, the shopkeeps friends started to take up the practice. That was until customers began disappearing as well... Vapor Mimic

A sinister, urban predator, this particular mimic understands most other creatures fear the dark. So, it becomes a beacon they will come close to avoid it before first extinguishing the life and then its prey's life. No one knows the origins of this particular breed only that it has accounted for dozens of victims. This isn't because of its ambush tactics, but also because it can easily switch spots with a benign street lamp, baffling those trying to defend themselves. The Bog Beast

"Not sure what breed o' gobbo this blighter used to be. Ain't been their kind that's infested the swamps fer ages. Yet, here it is. Figure that the little thing o' purple rags o' flesh and pitted bones got infested by some sort of leech-mite things. Seems it was just as poisonous ta the vermin as they were to it. Now dozens of the fat, vile squirmers writhe in its porous form. Careful they don't get on you or the damn things will eat ya alive. Hell, they even devour the risen. Cunning bastard always lays traps too. Be careful." -Fossor Carvilius Graeme The Bog Beast Small undead, chaotic neutral Armor Class 13 Hit Points 78 (12d6 + 36) Speed 0ft Flight 40ft (hover) Str 7 Dex 16 Con 16 Int 9 Wis 14 Cha 16 Skills: Perception +5, Survival +5 Condition Immunities charmed, exhaustion, frightened, grappled, paralyzed, petrified, poisoned, pro

Bagpipes Mimic

Enchanted by the unique melodies produced by a piper, the first of these mimics got rid of the actual instrument and took its place. It was a bit difficult at first because the piper realized that there was something off about their instrument. However, it could produce sounds others of its ilk could not. Likewise, it granted the player unassailable courage while driving others to dread at the same time. Naturally, the piper took it off to war where the mimic soon revealed itself but became a close ally as the musician fought to survive. Its descendants serve many a battlefield bard as there are plenty of foes to feed on.
