Pogonip

Cast out of the winter queen's court, Pogonips lives to fight and has anything but a cool head despite shards of frost for hair. She roams the land lookng for her next bout, using vicious claws and ice magic to overwhelm her opponents. One thing the petite terror loves about the mortal world is how good it feels to leech the last of an enemy's heat away mouth to mouth before they go cold forever. She's adoped their clothing as well, at least a form fitting armor of black leather. Though, she'll never get used to gloves or boots. The Whisper Witch

The Whispering Witch is a sinister being deep within the woods near town. Local legend attests that she was once a mortal warlock who kidnapped children and sacrificed them to her demonic patron. Eventually, she was caught and executed for her crimes but did not lie quietly. In the generations since, many a murderer and sadists blamed the whispering witch's influence for their crimes or horrific events are blamed on her directly. The truth of the matter is, this is all the work of a single dark fey, who influenced the first 'witch' to bring her children to sell in the feywild. The fey let the catspaw take the fall for her actions and then stepped in to build a legend off of it. The Whispering Witch is a small hag coated in coal fur with spindly limbs and narrow features. However, not many have ever seen her as invisibility is her natural state. The Whisper Witch Small fey (devil), chaotic evil Armor Class 16 (natural armor) ...

Lady Blackshield

Mercenary Knight Nobles of the Waning Court - The beauty of ripe fruit blended with the breach within autumn’s long shadows, every noble of the waning court is a vision to behold. Black, pupilless eyes dominate their fine-boned faces while sharp teeth lurk behind plush lips. The faeries’ ears are pointed like an elf’s, but slightly shorter. This is due to the antelope-like horns spiraling from their temples, the base of which are riddled with red-stained honeycombs. Waning court nobles wear their hair long, often braided with bones and sticks, and is a color of fall leaves. Their skin tone can best be described as bloodless. Commonly, these fey wear leathers cured of eldritch animals, cloaks made from a nightmare or displacer beast pelts, black iron plates, and amber adornments with petrified insects within. Most find their mien more savage than aristocratic. Stray direflies are their constant companions, always buzzing cryptic prophecies as they crawl about. While there are many ...

Strawberry

Legendary Plucker Expressionless and dull, the plucker still exudes a menace despite its placid features and mute manner. The three-foot-tall fey's glassy eyes remind one of a corpse, but are still wet and alive. Though once mortal, the plucker's years in the feywild have marked it with honeycomb scars, vestigial antennae, and a long, hooked nose. It wears a simple robe of rough, red cloth tied with a slip of leather. The plucker is never far from its bag and can never be swayed from its duty to the harvestman that made it. Did we say never? Never say never. Soul Bag. This patchwork bag of garish colors is crafted from the plucker's flayed away soul and personality. Despite being an interdimensional vessel its size never changes, roughly that of a sack of grain. A plucker never has difficulty lifting its bag and always knows where it is. The Rightful Heir. Everyone in the kingdom has heard the tale of a strawberry blond princess who was snatched by the fair folk b...

Putrid Pete

Legendary Lesionnarie Short and sickly, a lesionnaire wears armor encrusted with dried discharge from a myriad of festering wounds on which stray direflies feast. The fey carries a rectangular shield emblazoned with the crest of the Fallowfields; a human skull splitting open like an over-ripe pumpkin. Greasy, yellow hair spills around an angular face and pointed ears, its pale skin dotted with feverish flush and a sheen of cold sweat. The black-tooth soldier comes armed with a grimace and grime-caked short sword. If the blade doesn’t slay its prey, the sepsis will. The Bastard's Man. Despised by his comrades and his opponents alike, Putrid Pete fully supports his wicked duke and acts as a violent commissar among the lessionaire ranks. He’s caved many fey fodder’s heads in for cowardice or speaking against Lord Fallowfields. His frequent fratricide grants him the favor of the bastard noble and as such he was gifted Gangrene, an oversized morningstar crafted from an etern...

Holloweyes

Legendary Grinning Herald Whether wearing a mortal guise or in its true form the first thing one notices about a grinning herald is its smile. When pretending to be a fleeting thing the fey's grin is warm, charming, almost entrancing. When showing its true colors the herald’s mouth stretches painfully wide, its pearly teeth large, flat, but holding a cleaver's edge. The fey has corpse-gray skin pulled thin over its bony body and jet-black eyes within sunken sockets. Even in its horrid form, the fey is beguiling in its intensity. Their barrel chests don’t match the rest of their scarecrow physique.. Blind Fury. Blinded after daring to spy on the Lord of Invisible Blades while the archfey was bathing, Holloweyes’ isn’t an apt description for this grinning herald, though. His sockets aren’t empty but filled with direfly hives that stretch deep into his body without doing a lick of harm. When in human form, though, the illusion of empty holes settles in that he covers wi...

Manfred Moppet

Legendary Latchkey The pint-size fey fairly imitates a human child. The dire moppet's head is a covered with a messy mop of straw-colored hair that nearly covers pointed ear tips. Its nails are blood-red and hooked. The latchkey's nose is a bit too sharp, its mouth a bit too small; at least until it giggles. The latchkey's mirth stretches its mouth from ear-to-ear and sounds like a doorchime and giggle mixed. It's teeth are wide and square. The terror-tot wears a smock patched with bright-colored swatches and tall boots with elfin toes. Shadowy Sadist. Unlike other latchkeys, the Manfred Moppet doesn’t sneak into houses to steal objects or children. He does so to torture the occupants and sate its bloodlust. The moppet not only can unlock doors and windows with a knock, he can close and lock them with a gesture. Worse yet, smothering darkness is its primary weapon and his pure-white eyes pierce it as easily as his claws do a mortal’s abdomen. There is nothing ...

Honeyhair

Legendary Armillaria Dryad Riddled with white rot, the armillaria dryad is a pitiful creature driven to madness by insidious contagion. Her once-verdant physique is riddled with dense clumps of sallow white mushrooms. The fungus drips a viscous ooze and becomes an adhesive mess when struck. Hints of the dryad’s veins can be seen within the base of the mushrooms wherever they rupture from her bark-like skin. Her hair, somewhere between mangy strands and withered vines, frames feverish features. The infected dryad’s eye sockets are more like swollen knots than anything else, forever weeping spore-clogged pus. Embraced. Unlink many of her kin, this dryad does not lament her fungal infestation. Through careful cultivation of her tree, she’s grown a mane of armillaria mushrooms so they might spill from her scalp in a foul but glorious imitation of hair. Honeyhair is quite vain about this feature and will go to great lengths to punish anyone who dares harm her ‘luscious locks.’ Her co...
