Sometimes a mimic polyp strikes the motherload! Such a fate befell the first Wain Mimic. Taken in by kindly halflings, the mimic was fed as often as well, the halflings fed themselves. Infected with their good demeanor and too many calories it rapidly grew in size and now serves as a mobile kitchen and produce cart. Not only do the halflings have a vehicle that can look after itself, but a fine protector when things get rough on the road. Even more, the mimic has developed strange magical abilities to aid in both cooking and fighting. It still likes to eat, alot.
A sinister version exists as well, tied to kobolds instead of halflings. See below!
