Reared by a druidic blood-cult, this monstrosity grows to towering heights. It serves both as a festive centerpiece and a sacrificial altar. In one instance, the willing dance about the mimic in its pole form imbuing it with mystic potential during their rite. On the other, it flings its prey about. Once the poor souls are tenderized, it devours them in a frenzy of gore as its keepers chant in a circle about it. Either way, it's quite the event!

Shapechanger.
The mimic can use its action to polymorph into an awning or back into its true, amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Adhesive (Object Form Only).
The mimic adheres to anything that touches it. A Huge or smaller creature adhered to the mimic is also grappled by it (escape DC 15). Ability checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage.
False Appearance (Object Form Only).
While the mimic remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary ribboned maypole.
Grappler.
The mimic has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.
Mayday.
At the start of each of the mimic's turns, it can whip about all creatures grappled by its pseudopods. Each of these creatures must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution save or be Poisoned until the end of their next turn due to sudden motion sickness.
Actions
Multiattack.
The mimic makes two pseudopod attacks.
Pseudopod.
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d12 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the mimic is in object form, the target is subjected to its Adhesive trait.
Bite.
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) acid damage.
Reactions
The Weave.
Whenever the mimic succeeds on a save against a spell, it may use its reaction to cast that spell an applicable target it can see within 60ft. The spell function as it normally would, save it uses the mimic's spellcasting ability of Charisma (DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks)
